What is my home’s value?

Our experience with Leslie was rather unique, and she went above and beyond and stuck with us every step of the way!  Early on in our first time home buying experience, we made an offer to build a house.  Shortly into the process we realized this was not the route we wanted to go and not the builder we wanted to work with.  Leslie advised us that we still had an "out" according to the offer contract, and she assisted us in writing and sending the needed paperwork to the builder/seller, informing him of our decision to not go any farther working with him.  It should have been over.  Unfortunately for us, it was not.  This builder was very difficult and didn't accept that the deal was done.  Leslie assured us that everything we had done was right, that we had gone about walking away the correct way.  She was very knowledgeable and confident in the process and knew we were in the right.  This was very reassuring for us. 

To make a long story short, we had to file a claim against this man in court.  Leslie was with us through the whole process.  She didn't walk away from us and the mess we had gotten into.  She came to court with us, bringing every piece of paperwork we had throughout this process, and testified on our behalf.  In the end, Leslie was right, we had done everything correct, and it all ended in our favor.  After going through 5 months of this ordeal, Leslie continued to stay by our side.  She walked us through countless houses, some numerous times.  We are very happy to say that in November we DID close on our first home!  Leslie was absolutely fantastic to work with and we would gladly work with her again and recommend her to any of our friends.  We feel as though not only did we meet a great realtor, but a friend as well.

We started our search for a house in Madison with the Sveum Coldwell-Banker site because we found it easy to navigate.  When we called to contact a real-life realtor we got Leslie Blum, just by chance, because she was manning phones that day.

We arranged to see several properties and Leslie arrived on time, well-prepared, with a helpful folder of information sheets on each house.

Only one house worked for us, but the back yard had been divided off into a poorly marked “buildable lot” with no separate “for sale” sign.  We were appalled and just left.

Time went by, we talked to Leslie, who submitted our questions to the owners’ realtor and advised us on making an offer, considerably lower than the asking price, for both lots.  Much to everyone’s surprise, and our delight, it was accepted.

Leslie was very effective in dealing with all the details involved to make a successful closing.  What's more, she's been there for us AFTER the closing, which has made a great difference, because we currently live out of state.  Knowing that someone can check on the basement when it rains, and confirm that a limb hasn't fallen on the roof is very reassuring.  She's responsive to phone calls and emails, and her daily phone message schedule makes it easy to know when she's most available.  Call her - I think you will be pleased.

I researched different Realtors online and called and interviewed some of them.  Leslie stood out about all the others.
